Your Experience

We Make it Easy !

From your initial consultation, to design, thru construction,  project management - 20th
Century Pools is completely committed to making your pool building experience an easy
one. One of the ways we do this is by personally supervising every stage of construction
and always available to answer any questions of your concern. We are always in contact
with every client to make sure you are informed and  content.

Here’s What You Can Expect
While every custom built pool is different, the design and building process generally
remains the same. Here’s what you can expect after you contact with 20th Century Pools.

An experienced person in pool designs will visit you at your home.
We’ll gather information about what you want to accomplish. What do you want the space to
look like? How will the pool be used? Then we’ll measure the yard, consider the location for
sunlight and usability, and make sure that you understand all of the available options. In
this initial consultation, we listen carefully so that we can seamlessly incorporate your
dreams and your vision into an elegant and functional backyard oasis.

Within two weeks or less, your custom design will be completed and ready for review. You
will also be able to discuss and decide on further options, details, and features.

Once you decide to move forward, we can immediately begin to schedule the building
phase of your new pool. Now we are ready to engineer your custom pool.

Our initial phase will start layout, grading and excavating of  the pool site. We’ll also
perform any necessary demolition during this phase. After the site has been excavated, we
will install the reinforncing steel, or rebar. Then all of the plumbing and underground
electrical work will be completed before the pool goes through a city or county inspection -
called pre gunite inspection.

Your pool will be sprayed with a concrete-like substance known as shotcrete or gunite.
After shotcrete or gunite the next installation is coping and tile.

If there is any swimming pool masonry work on the project we will complete all of the
masonry work. If you have chosen to include features like custom walls, rock features,
waterfalls, a bar-b-que or a fireplace, they will be built or installed during this phase of
construction.

The deck of your pool will be installed. Depending on the amount of concrete work It
usually takes  approximatley up to one week to prepare and pour the pool decking. If
required by your city code prior to pouring the concrete it will then go thru inspection prior
to the pour.  Any options such as gates, fences, or alarms will also be installed here if
contracted by 20th Century Pools.

Finally,  its time for your swimming pool plaster.
This is one of the last phases of construction. It will usually only take one day to plaster
your pool.

Fill your new pool with water!
When the plaster phase is complete, your pool will finally be ready to be filled with water.
Now it's time to call your friends and family so you can have a pool party to celebrate!
