Century Pools, you don't ever have to worry about any defective materials or
workmanship we're confident in the products and services that we offer...and our
warranty backs it up!
Don't forget that we've been in business for more than 30 years. Many of the very first
pools that we built in the 1980's are still in great shape and get regular use. While
dozens of pool builders go out of business each year, you can be confident that 20th
Century Pools will be here in the future to stand by every swimming pool that we build.
Remember that anyone can offer a "lifetime" warranty, but if they're not in business for
the duration of your pool's life, then your warranty is worthless.
NEW POOL CONSTRUCTION LIMITED WARRANTY
LIMITED STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
20th Century Pools warrants that the gunite or concrete swimming pool shell will remain
structurally sound for as long as you own your pool. Structurally sound is defined as
maintaining the structural integrity of the concrete swimming pool shell so as to
withstand all normal loads or stresses as anticipated by our approved engineering
plans. Upon written demand by Buyer, 20th Century Pools will perform necessary tests to
determine if the concrete swimming pool shell is sound. If it is found not to be sound,
20th Century Pools will, at no cost to Buyer, perform repairs necessary to restore its
structural integrity. If testing procedures show that the concrete swimming pool shell is
sound, Buyer will pay costs of testing and repair. 20th Century Pools does not warrant
against damage to the pool shell caused by failure to maintain proper water levels,
underground water tables rising above the lowest point of the pool or damages caused
by earth or fill ground movement, earthquake, acts of God, or acts of others. The term
“concrete swimming pool shell” does not include trim coping (concrete or masonry
applied to the structure for aesthetic purposes), tile, coloring, or decking.
LIMITED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY
The Hayward Pool Products line of Pumps, Filters, Heaters, Pool Cleaners, Salt
Chlorinator systems, LED loghts, and Electronic Controls are backed by a three-year
parts and labor warranty (strongest in the Pool Industry), beginning on the day of plaster
installation, for any defects in materials or workmanship. Equipment other than the
Hayward Pool Products line is covered by manufacturer’s warranties for not less than 12
months from date of pool plaster.
LIMITED UNDERGROUND WARRANTY
Pool plumbing, piping and plumbing accessories, electrical, gas, and all underground
installations provided by 20th Century Pools are warranted to be free of defects in
material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of pool plaster.
LIMITED CONCRETE & MASONRY WARRANTY
Decks, plaster, walls, stucco, coping and all other masonry products are warranted to be
free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of
installation. Concrete and masonry products are inherently subject to cracking,
checking, discoloration, staining, and lack of uniformity of color. These conditions are
not considered defective. Raising or settling which results from expansive or pre -
existing insufficiently compacted soils is not warranted.
LIMITATIONS
Notwithstanding the above, your warranty is limited in the following regards:
1. California Pools does not warrant against damages, failures or reduction of
performance of any equipment caused by substitution or addition of equipment not
designed, installed or expressly authorized by 20th Century Pools. 20th Century Pools
does not warrant against defects or failures caused by lack of reasonable care, failure to
provide necessary maintenance, incorrect water chemistry, freezing, improper
operation or vandalism.
2. Job-site labor warranty does not extend to lights, cartridge elements, skimmers,
valves fittings or chemical feeders. Warranty on pump
seals, valves, lights and o-rings are limited to one year.
3. Damages caused by earth or fill ground movement, earthquake, acts of God, or acts of
others.
4. All warranties and guarantees set forth above are subject to complete payment of all
contract charges to include all Contract Change
Orders.
TRANSFER OF WARRANTY
Upon transfer of the title to your real property, this warranty may be transferred to the
new Buyer, after inspection and at the discretion of
20th Century Pools, and upon written request within thiry day of transfer of title. After all
current policies and requirements in force at the time of request have been satisfied,
the approval of the transfer of warranty will be effective upon payment of a transfer fee
and issuance of a new warranty in the name of the new Buyer.
